Los Arcos “The particular juxtaposition of lines, structure and material in this sculpture called to mind many indelibly imprinted experiences with nature’s wonders. The arches from Baja’s Lands End, to the deserts of the southwest in particular. The porous Spalted English Beech tells the tale of it’s own growth, struggles and erosion with it’s variations of colors and textures. It evokes the sharp memories of weathered, textured geologic formations alluded to in this sculpture. This macro/micro picture of how nature repeats itself has always been a source of fascination and inspiration as I find it revealed in timbers from around the world.”
